Volkswagen Middle East Facebook competition winners drive off in style - Four lucky entrants receive all-new Jetta for a year

Wolfsburg - Dubai - Cairo /

While Volkswagen owners in Egypt are suffering big-time from the very poor customer service of Volkswagen Egypt, we find the Volkswagen customers in the gulf region experiencing a totally different customer service.

That is one of the reasons why Volkswagen Middle East announced the winners of its regional “Catch me if you can car competition, which was held on the social media site Facebook to celebrate the launch of the all-new Volkswagen Jetta in the region.

The competition took place in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan asking participants to spot the masked Jetta in key locations, snap a picture of it and upload it onto Facebook for a chance to win the recently launched Volkswagen model.

Karsten Jankowski, Marketing Director, Volkswagen Middle East commented: “The "Catch me if you can" competition was a fun and exciting platform for us to engage with the public, creating curiosity around the car and building the anticipation for the official launch of the car. Our Facebook all-new Jetta page was very successful, with over 15,000 likes of the page from fans throughout the campaign. It was truly a great experience and we were pleased to be able to offer a yearlong test drive to four lucky fans.

The winners were selected by Volkswagen officials with the draws taking place at Volkswagen showrooms, to which all participants were invited. The cars were presented to Qusai Mohd Abu Zeina from Jordan, Ihab Abu Al Hassan from Kuwait, Husam Alsheikh from Saudi Arabia and Dana Younis from the United Arab Emirates.

During the competition the masked cars were prepared by covering the whole vehicle with foiling, hiding its distinguishing features and shape so that they were unidentifiable to the public. A call to action message was placed on both sides of the vehicles, urging passersby to visit the www.besurprised.com website to find out more about this mystery car and the prize to be won.

“The all-new Jetta is an exciting addition to our fleet in the Middle East with prices starting from 69,900SAR which we revealed on Facebook to fans in the Middle East. It's in a class of its own and combines German engineering and performance, safety and comfort in a whole new look. With the all-new Jetta, we are offering a car in the Middle East that will add a new dimension of quality to the saloons of the compact class, concluded Jankowski.

The all-new Jetta is an ideal choice for everyone who desires a German designed, impressively styled saloon that is comfortable, safe and yet affordable. The car is now available in the Middle East following the car's great success around the world with over 9.6 million units already sold.

The all-new Jetta is 4.64 meters long and delivers a superior class of compact sedan that combines a modern dynamic design, encompassing clear precise lines and athletically muscular surfaces, which gives the saloon an image of timeless elegance and styling.
